Pinkston Panthers has a keen interest in Canoe Salom as a way of developing members skills.
Canoe slalom is an exhilarating sport that combines precision, skill, and a deep connection with nature. It involves navigating a kayak or canoe through a course of carefully placed gates on flat or moving water, challenging participants to demonstrate their agility and control. This sport not only offers an adrenaline rush but also promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and mental focus. Additionally, canoe slalom is an excellent way to enjoy the outdoors, develop a sense of accomplishment, and engage in a vibrant community of paddlers. Kayak cross was a new edition to the Olympic programme in Paris 2024. We have some kayak cross kit and members are welcome to practice this as part of club nights.
We support member’s goals whether it is just learning the absolute basics on flat water and playing games to ambitions of British Team. Members can choose to enter any competition events they like and we aim to support any races with coaches.
